Short Films and Storyboards

A collection of my short films and storyboards created through various film classes.

Your Biggest Cheerleader

Bug Cheer is a stop-motion short built around the prompt “what if a dog was a cheerleader?” Using paper cutouts, mixed media, and green-screen compositing, I turned my roommate’s dog, Bug, into the lead and leaned into the idea that dogs are already natural cheerleaders. The project balances playful character work with the technical demands of stop-motion staging, layered materials, and chroma-key integration.

Bug’s Spring

Bug’s Spring is a montage focused short that highlights how shot variety shapes rhythm and tone. Set during a warm spring day in the backyard with Bug, the dog, as the subject, it uses rack focus, match cuts, panoramic moves, handheld shots, and static frames to create contrast and momentum. The piece shows my ability to edit with intention and use technique to carry a simple story.

Tidal Wings

Tidal Wings is a short animation I illustrated and animated end to end, showcasing a ladybug who surfs a leaf through a rainstorm. Built for a class brief that required compositing, I also chroma keyed live action footage into the background to add scale and atmosphere, blending hand drawn elements with real scenery. The piece highlights my ability to take a concept from story to final motion, and to integrate mixed media techniques for a polished, narrative result suited to professional production environments.

Texture

Texture is a short film built around close up cinematography to emphasize material detail and surface. I centered the piece on the process of sewing a jacket I made, using tight framing to highlight fabric, stitching, and hand movement. The film demonstrates my ability to translate a tactile, craft driven process into a focused visual narrative with intentional shot selection and pacing.
